An engineering manager needed to have better visibility of his costs on a day to day basis rather than the monthly results from finance. We designed and implemented a solution to automatically extract data from the mainframe accounting system. This enabled the manager to open a spreadsheet which displayed the latest actual and forecast expenditure, providing him with timely information in a customised format.
A McDonald’s restaurant owner wanted to better understand his profitability and cost control in relation to fellow franchisees. We developed a bespoke solution containing base point data into which he could input his own information. The model clearly highlighted all areas for improvement and quantified potential gains through a series of graphs and charts.
